Treadmills

When it comes to exercise equipment, there are a plethora of machines designed to work on a particular set of muscles in your body or on your overall cardio health. A treadmill is a piece of equipment that is found in most fitness clubs and are becoming more common in the home. Treadmills are easy to use, work on overall health through focusing on cardio strength, and reduces the amount of impact to your shins and knees due to their impact reduction decks. Therefore, an injury is less likely to occur than that of running or walking on an asphalted road or cemented sidewalk.

One of the most felt benefits of owning and using a treadmill is the lower amount of impact it has on your legs. Often runners will suffer from shin splints and knee problems. Shin splints happen more to beginner runners that have not stretched properly, yet the impact of their running is what is truly causing this pain. Using a treadmill will not result in these types of discomfort. Seasoned runners can also begin to have serious problems with their knees due to absorbing the shock of the impact every time your foot hits the ground during a run. Many runners run daily; therefore, impact is felt daily and the end result is, the knee will no longer be able to handle the impact and shock. When this occurs, some runners will even require surgery. If you run on a treadmill when possible at home or in the gym, there is much less impact. This will result in less knee injuries and reduce the possibility of surgery for the future.

A treadmill can offer what running in the great outdoors typically cannot. It will track your heartbeat and tell you when your heart is beating at the optimal rate for what you’re trying to accomplish. Censors will tell the machine what your current heart rate is as you find your pace in running or walking fast. When it calculates your heart rate and your age, it will tell you if you are in the cardio zone which is optimal for exercising your heart muscles; if you are in the weight loss zone, which is optimal for those trying to shed some pounds, or if you are in the fitness zone, which is giving your heart and body a good overall workout. Unless you know what your heart rate can tell you on your own, this tool will help you achieve your health and fitness goals.

A final benefit of owning a treadmill is being able to exercise in the privacy of your own home. Not everyone feels comfortable throwing on exercise clothes and running through their neighborhood or joining the local gym. There are a lot of people that desire to lose weight, but do not feel comfortable or confident enough to exercise in front of others. Owning a treadmill and exercising at home takes those others out of the equation. In this day and age safety also becomes a concern. Safety issues are minimal with home gyms. Many individuals feel safer doing their exercising behind locked doors.

Pro Form Treadmills are in a class by themselves as far as popularity is considered. They have several features that will help you obtain your fitness goals quickly. They have built-in workouts that will help those that do not have the knowledge of the best workouts to obtain their goals. In the most basic model, they have a built-in fan in the console to help you control overheating while you’re working out. The traditional options are found on these machines as well such as EKG grips that will monitor your heart rate as you exercise or time displays to help you keep track of how long your workout is or should be.

The machines range in price from around $389 to around $1500. The most basic model supersedes basic models of competitor brands. The Pro Form treadmill will allow you to have an efficient workout that will help you to quickly achieve your fitness goals. The built-in fan included in the console of these treadmills helps you maintain your physical movement which will make for more calorie burning. This will lead to more fat burning which is good for your waistline as well as your heart.

The ProForm AT 500 treadmill is a wonderful machine. It includes an impact absorbing tread pad. It includes the wonderful fan to keep you cool for a longer workout. There are four built-in walking programs, two of which focus on keeping your heart in the zone for the type of results you’re looking for. It includes power incline control for a more challenging workout when you’re ready for one. There is a five year warranty on the motor and it will cost about $489.00. This treadmill also includes a space saving design so it is perfect for those with little room for storage of such a machine.

The ProForm 1000 S treadmill offers everything that the AT 500 does and more. There are ten workouts included in this one instead of eight. It has a capability of going up to 12 miles an hour whereas the AT 500 can only go up to 10. It includes the heart monitoring EKG sensors just as the AT 500 does and includes the fan for cooling purposes. There is power incline control added here as well. There is a twenty year warranty on the motor for this one. This treadmill will cost around $789.00.

The ProForm 750 treadmill will enhance your exercise routine by offering almost everything the 1000 S will with the exception of a shorter warranty and a capability of ten miles per hour instead of twelve for the same price. Though there are a few less capabilities in this machine, it has been designed with the space saving capability for easier storage. This can make a big difference for someone that wants to own a machine, but has no permanent place to put it.

There are several other machines including: ProForm, Weslo, Reebok, HealthRider, Image, Nordic Track, Epic and more that can be viewed and selected at: Treadmill-World.com. These machines will not disappoint as you will use them in relative comfort and begin seeing results quickly. These machines are often below manufacturer prices, so they are easier on your wallets, but big on results.

Treadmill Reviews – Choosing the Perfect Treadmill

If you are in the process of selecting a treadmill, then you have two options. You could spend a lot of time as well as energy in searching and researching about the various types of treadmills available, their features, pricing, etc.

Alternatively you could just browse through treadmill reviews to understand much faster all the needed details about treadmills. Of course, there are hundreds of treadmill reviews out there on the Internet, but some are better than others.

Only a few really deliver, despite claims of providing the best treadmill reviews. But how do you separate the wheat from the chaff?

What are the points that you expect to be covered in an educating treadmill review?

Let us list a few of them here for your better information:

* The treadmill reviews should cover the maximum number of manufacturers and suppliers.

* The treadmill reviews should cover all the features of the treadmills.

* The reviews should list out the positive as well as negative points of the treadmills.

* The reviews should clearly talk about the product ranges, the pricing, the warranty offered, highlighted features of the treadmills.

* The reviews should provide the background and technical expertise of the manufacturer or reviewer in this field.

* The reviews should mention the extent of popularity enjoyed by the manufacturer or supplier.

* The treadmill reviews should invariably include maximum number of actual client feedback, wherever possible.

* The reviews could list the experiences of the actual users as pointers to the performance of the treadmills.

* The reviews should clearly outline recent innovations and advancements that are expected in the near future.

* The reviews should guide you about the various options in payment terms, delivery terms, after-sales-service, etc. of each manufacturer.

* The treadmills reviews should be unbiased; there should be absolutely no direct or indirect sales pitch in the reviews.

This might look like a lengthy wish list. However, you have to remember that you are not going to buy treadmills every once in a while. In most of the cases, it is a lifetime buy.

Further, with the vast range of treadmills available, the treadmill reviews should help you in deciding what is right for your needs. The treadmill reviews should advise you on the models that you could afford.

This is a very important point because treadmill prices range from $500 to $5,000. One wrong decision and you could end up making a very expensive mistake.

Whether it is Sole treadmill reviews or any other treadmill reviews, the reviews should be clear on the entire topic. The reasons are obvious.

When you buy a treadmill, your main intention is to save the several thousand dollars that you would be spending by signing up with the health club near your area. By having the treadmill in your home, you not only save the time spent for traveling to and from the health club but you also exercise whenever you are free.

This is in contrast to the fixed allotted timings that you get in all health clubs. The advantages of training regularly with a treadmill need not be highlighted here. Toning up your body, losing weight, and simultaneous exercise are obvious to all. Therefore, the treadmill reviews should assist you in making the right informed decision. The treadmill reviews or other reviews should not be vague or biased.

It would also be useful if you get to know and understand some of the treadmill jargon that is regularly used in treadmill reviews:

Belt, box channel frame, C channel frame, console, deck, drive train, footprint, horsepower, incline, peak rating, presets, rollers, torque, motors, etc. are some the terms that you would frequently come across in treadmill reviews.

These might look like minor details but each one is important in its own way. All of them in combination decide the quality and durability of the treadmills. Look for authoritative treadmill reviews from the experts before you decide.

Proform Treadmills – Good Quality At A Low Cost

Proform treadmills are one of the most popular types of treadmills for first time buyers. A company called Icon that is one of the biggest manufacturers of exercise machinery manufactures them. They are also the manufacturers of Reebok products. One for the main benefits with a Proform treadmill is the cost. Generally speaking, they are one of the most affordable makers of indoor running machines available on the market. Although they might not have all of the features of some of the more expensive machines they are generally well built and extremely reliable, plus they are a good buy for anyone that is looking to buy a treadmill but does not have a lot of money to spend on it.

Of course they don’t just cater to the lower end of the fitness and exercise market. Pro Form treadmills make a huge range of machines and as such there are a large variety of models to choose from. Even though they do not compete at the higher end of the market, they do have something to suit most people interested in getting into better shape with the use of a treadmill. Even at the lower end of the price range where there are treadmills for around $500 they still make a reliable model. They are of course of a lighter construction than the higher cost models, but for what they cost, these treadmills make a very good exercise machine. If you go for one of the cheaper treadmills, then you should remember that they are not as durable as those that are at the more expensive end of the market, but they are still quite useable and will put up with a lot of work.

Even the basic models have such things as cushioning on the track that can save your knees a lot of wear and tear and make running a lot easier on your joints. This is achieved with the aid of air shock absorbers and they are a very effective aid for making your running a lot easier. Even if you go for one of the budget models you do not have to put up with a very basic machine. There are still plenty of features on some of the lower cost models and if there is not a feature that you are looking for then it might be possible to have it as an added feature. Heart rate monitors are a very popular add on that a lot of people find very useful

Proform treadmills are one of the better budget treadmills and are a very good buy but you need to do your research to make sure that the model that you are thinking of is the right one for you. There are lots to choose from and there is very likely to be one that suits your needs as well as your budget.

Who Dominates The Treadmill Reviews? Smooth Treadmills

Any careful consumer will seek out the sage advice of a treadmill buying guide before they commit any of their hard earned cash to one particular make or model, and anyone who has done their research will discover that Smooth treadmills are the darling of the treadmill reviewers. This popularity is arguably ascribed to the ubiquity of the Smooth Company on the Internet – Smooth treadmills are available not only from the manufacturer themselves, but also through a range of representatives and affiliates – but such a belief would only be partly true. The manufacturer of Smooth treadmills might be a company on the grow and eager to promote their wares online, but the running machines offered by Smooth pack a punch that more than backs up the ‘net noise the company makes.

Unlike many other companies that seem to make a big fuss on the Internet, it seems that the manufacturers of Smooth treadmills are a stable company that have a genuinely impressive product to sell. Smooth treadmills are, in fact, consistently rated as one of the best treadmills available in each of their respective classes – budget, mid-range, and expensive, for example – by almost any treadmill buying guide that you can find. And with most consumers checking these guides out before they buy, these positive reviews have to be reliable, so the power of treadmill buying guides is an influential one.

So when you discover that such well known and well thought of sites rate Smooth treadmills as the best you can buy for the money you have to spend, you can be fairly confident that you are on to a good thing. The fact that Smooth treadmills dominate more than one category in any treadmill buying guide also points to the company’s high production standards – it’s clear that Smooth aren’t just tossing out a cheap version of their higher spec models to cash in. Regardless of the amount of money you have to spend, the reviews recommend Smooth treadmills as being well worth the cash.

Even if you opt for one of the so-called budget Smooth treadmills, you will get more features than you expect. From hi-tech shock absorbing capabilities to ergonomically designed heart and pulse measuring devices, Smooth treadmills comes with the features you want to help motivate you in your exercise endeavors. And while any good treadmill buying guide will admit that the presence of these features might detract from the overall quality of Smooth treadmill’s more basic parts – such as the frame and the motor – accusations of this kind simply don’t hold any water, as the buying guides note the longevity and good functioning of Smooth’s products.

Smooth treadmills are one case where the hype does live up to the noise it has created. The Smooth name is not the sweetheart of the buying guides for nothing.
